Saint-Émilion

Saint-Émilion is a fascinating fantasy land drawn straight from the storybooks. Located in Bordeaux, the small village is rich in tradition and history dating all the way back to the second century. First famous for its limestone production, it now gains its reputation as one of the principal red wine producers in Bordeaux. It is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Sight and tourists come from all over the world to see the underground monolithic church, catacombs, and romanesque ruins. We toured the town, stopping into each boutique and wine shop, ending at a nearby vineyard for a fabulous wine tasting. I'll let the photographs speak for themselves, this was one place that is sure to hold a special place in my heart and memory forever. xoxobb
