Rainy Strolls Through Paris

Gray clouds, umbrellas, and rain puddles in cobblestone streets replaced the sunshine, warm breeze, and blue skies that I had in mind for my first week in Paris. Summer in any part of the world sees it's share of rain storms and France is no exception. Today my feet are blistered and bruised (beauty is pain) but it was well worth it. Some new friends and I took a long stroll through the heart of the city, taking in the beautiful buildings, national landmarks, and peaceful parks. After trying to get into the Museé Parisien Maison de Photographie (closed due to change of exhibit installation), we decided to wander and ended up spending hours doing just that. Here are some photos from the day! Tomorrow I'm taking a train to Bordeaux for Thursday and Friday, hello wine country!!! Look forward to some photos of wine tasting and the magical Saint- Emilion!

La Vie est Belle

This city is made of magic, I couldn't be more serious. Salut from Paris! Apologies for not updating everyone immediately after my first day in the city, but I was so overwhelmed with happiness and overcome by exhaustion that I couldn't think to write a post. Flying out from Atlanta at noon on Sunday, I had a layover in Montreal and finally arrived in Paris Charles de Gaulle at 5:30AM Monday morning. After a couple days of orientation, some light exploring, and getting semi-accustomed to the beautiful mess that is Paris, I am ready to settle in and enjoy the ride. Here are a few photos from my first couple of days, they wouldn't have been complete without some delicate fleurs, brilliant architecture, and, of course, a glass (or two) of Rosé.
More updates coming soon! Until then, au revoir mes chers! xoxobb

Bon Voyage!!

The anticipation has been growing far too long and the time has finally come! Sunday I leave for my adventures abroad and I could not be more thrilled. I've never been one for planning or To Do lists, so it's hard to say how prepared I am. "Flying by the seat of my pants," as my mother would say, has always been my tendency towards life. So, I'm off! Equipped with my passport, some euros, and a beautiful journal in which my closest friends have each written a letter to me, I feel I have all I need to begin my journey. Stay tuned for more! xoxobb
